Lizzy May has been producing her own compositions for many years and has benefited from expert advice from Eliot Kennedy - The X-Factor coach, Grammy and Ivor Novello Awards winner and producer/songwriter for the Spice Girls, Bryan Adams and Take That. While she was at the Yehudi Menuhin School she studied composition with leading specialists and later as a postgraduate at the Royal Academy she took lessons with the highly acclaimed singing coach, Mary Hammond.

She has combined her talents as an instrumentalist and vocalist to develop the technique of singing and playing the cello simultaneously. Her musical style ranges from classical through to folk, hip-hop and Bollywood.

Lizzy May’s 3-girl band was invited by Take That to be the opening act in part of their highly successful Beautiful World Tour, in which she sang one of her own compositions Body, Mind and Soul to audiences of 15,000.
